Ugaas Xasan Warns Baydhaba Residents of Possible Fighting
Ugaas Xasan Cabdi Maxamed, spokesperson for former South West State president Cabdicasiis Laftagareen, has issued a warning about the situation in Baydhaba.
He urged residents to avoid areas where government and South West State forces are deployed to prevent harm. He warned that any fighting could lead to suffering and casualties among civilians.
“Brothers and sisters of Baydhaba, we urge you to be cautious of those attacking your neighborhoods and digging trenches, especially in Salbalaar and Afbalaar. Any conflict could bring harm and loss to the people. Please respect this and avoid those areas,” Ugaas Xasan said.
The warning comes amid tense security conditions in Baydhaba. Rival factions contesting control of South West State have exchanged hostile statements. Previous clashes in and around the city have resulted in civilian casualties.
