Leyla Mohamed Jama, one of those affected, said it is difficult to cook even one meal a day. She and her family are relying on another household for support. She emphasized that food scarcity and limited access to water are major problems, and her children are currently unable to attend school.

Abdi Askar Guuleed, chairman of Dawaco, said the conflict arose over disputed grazing land. Seven people have died, and 600 families have been displaced. The fighting occurred during the dry season, when the local population was already suffering from drought.
