International attention is focused on diplomatic efforts between the United States and Iran, following reports that the two sides are close to signing a preliminary agreement aimed at easing tensions and opening a path toward resolving outstanding issues between the two countries.

Reports indicate the deal could include extending a ceasefire for 60 days, reopening the Strait of Hormuz to allow international commercial shipping to pass normally, and launching new talks on Iran's nuclear program.

Although US officials have said the signing could take place on Sunday, Iran's government has shown caution, stating that negotiations are still ongoing and that key points need to be finalized before any deal is officially approved.

The international community is closely following the outcome of these talks, as any agreement between the US and Iran could directly affect security in the Middle East, global energy and oil prices, and the movement of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic waterway through which a large portion of the world's oil shipments pass.

However, official confirmation from both sides is still awaited to determine whether the deal has been signed or whether talks will continue in the coming days.
