Former Speaker Mohamed Mursal said Abdulqadir Mohamed Nur is a seasoned politician who has worked in various important sectors of the government, making him a candidate with the capability and understanding to lead the People's Assembly.
Lawmakers and ministers who attended the meeting also voiced their backing, praising the candidate's competence, knowledge, and political experience.
This support comes at a time when the race for the Speaker of the Somali People's Assembly is underway, with several candidates vying for the influential position.
