Baydhabo City and Latest Troop Movements
Recent reports from Baydhabo indicate growing military activity over the past few days, involving troops leaving the city and joining the special police forces. According to available information, these soldiers were previously part of the Somali Federal Government forces stationed in Baydhabo. Several days ago, a number of troops departed, followed by an estimated fifty soldiers yesterday, and two more groups left the city today. These successive movements have heightened concerns over security and the political situation in Baydhabo, with speculation that the city may be entering a sensitive phase in which the special police forces could take over. Meanwhile, reports from Mogadishu say that Aadan Maxamed Nuur, also known as Aadan Madoobe, who arrived in the capital today, has requested financial and military support from Xasan Sheekh Maxamuud. Aadan Madoobe has previously stated he is on the offensive against the special police forces in Koonfur Galbeed.
