Kheyre Blames President Hassan Sheikh After Explosion in Doolow
Former Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre condemned an airstrike on the residence of former military police commander General Mahad Abdirahman Adan in Doolow, Gedo region. Kheyre held President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud responsible for the attack.
He described the strike as unacceptable in Somalia’s political and governmental context. Kheyre accused the outgoing presidential administration of using weapons and aircraft in the fight against terrorism. He called for political disputes to be resolved through dialogue and agreement.
The former prime minister added that Somalia does not need political conflicts that cause social division and security instability. He stressed that a free and fair election, agreed upon by all parties, is the only way to move the country forward.
